In line with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) goal of enrolling 15% of refugees in higher education by 2030, members of the Grenoble academic community have been working since 2015 to integrate exiles, students, future students, and scientists into the university environment. The Colibri reception center and its various initiatives are the result of these efforts.
The Refugee Committee, the project's decision-making body
Its members work together to enable:
- discussions on topics related to the reception of refugees in order to improve practices;
- the implementation of joint actions and projects;
- validation of policy requests related to this reception;
- a joint response to calls for tenders;
- raising awareness of the issue among the university community (students, teachers, researchers, and all administrative and technical staff);
- links with local, regional, national, and international institutions.
