Catering and housing for exiled populations

The CROUS Grenoble Alpes and other structures take into account the difficulties faced by exiled individuals and organize various forms of assistance.

Dining

CROUS restaurants, cafeterias, and food trucks sell quality food at reasonable prices. They are open all year round except when the establishments are closed.

See the list of 48 CROUS locations in the academy (in Annecy, Le Bourget-du-Lac, Chambéry, Grenoble, and Valence).

In the event of significant financial difficulties, it is also possible to benefit from other support schemes:

€1 meals - CROUS
Le Rayon: a social grocery store, subject to resource conditions, providing access to food and hygiene products.
1 bag for 1 student : a grocery bag regularly provided by individuals to help students.
L'Agoraé a solidarity grocery store selling food and hygiene products at very low prices to students in need.

Housing

The CROUS manages student residences for students. International students in exile have access to them if they obtain international protection (refugee status, subsidiary protection, or temporary protection). You can apply by filling out the Dossier Social Etudiant.
DIGI 38 - Intergenerational Cohabitation: a platform to facilitate connections with seniors who offer a room and bathroom facilities for a modest rate in exchange for a small financial contribution, presence, and minor services.
KAPS - Colocation et projets solidaires: get involved in one or more solidarity actions in the neighborhood and live in a furnished shared space in a fully equipped residence.
