A. Do you have documents proving your qualifications? Follow the ENIC-NARIC procedure
To resume your studies in France or work in your field of study, you must request a "statement of comparability" to the European Network of Information Centres / National Academic Recognition Information Centres (ENIC-NARIC).
This process is free for refugees and asylum seekers.
B. You don't have formal proof of your qualifications? Consider the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR)
This is a Council of Europe program.
It issues a certificate to help you prove your qualifications so you can resume your studies or find a job more easily.
It presents information regarding your professional experience and language proficiency.
Who is it for?
Individuals with the status of:
refugees
asylum seekers
To apply for an assessment:
download the questionnaire (in Arabic, French, or English)
fill out and sign the questionnaire
prepare a copy of your residence permit or any other document proving your identity
prepare any other document certifying your education and studies (e.g., transcripts, diploma, CV, etc.)
If you are selected, the jury will examine your knowledge and skills.
This evaluation is based on the study of your responses to the questionnaire, any documents you may have submitted, and an oral interview.
Practical information
The Council of Europe will cover travel and meal expenses for candidates who need to travel to attend interviews.
Some interviews may be conducted via Skype.
Each year, a few sessions are organized in countries that issue European Qualifications Passports for Refugees (EQPR).
Duration
If the decision is positive, the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

C. Do you want to have your professional experience recognized in order to resume your studies? Follow the VAPP procedure
D. Do you want to validate a degree from UGA based on your previous studies and qualifications? This is known as the Validation of Higher Education (VES).
France created this procedure to validate all or part of a degree you have earned, without taking classes. This allows you to obtain a French diploma that higher education institutions and employers will trust.
Even if it does not end with a formal validation, you will still have carried out a detailed reflection process on your skills and knowledge, and you will benefit from individualized guidance.
How?
It is possible to start this procedureat any time of the year.
You must contact an institution that can issue a degree as close as possible of the one you obtained.
A specialist panel will review your application, which must include a portfolio summarizing your background, a written reflection on your qualifications, and copies of any supporting documents you can provide.
There are several stages to the application review process.
Where?
In the Grenoble area, two institutions offer VES: UGA and Grenoble INP-UGA.
At UGA, the application procedure is free of charge; at Grenoble INP, there is a fee.
