Have you already completed a training course, but cannot directly validate it with a certificate from your country of origin?
Several scenarios are possible.
Unfold the one that corresponds to your situation below by clicking on the +.
A. Do you have documents proving your qualifications? Follow the ENIC-NARIC procedure.
In order to resume your studies in France or work in your field of study, you must request a "certificate of comparability" to the European Network of Information Centers / National Academic Recognition Information Centers (ENIC-NARIC).
This approach is free for refugees and asylum seekers.
B. Don't have formal proof of your qualifications? Opt for the European Qualification Passport for Refugees (EQPR).
It is a program of the Council of Europe.
It issues a certificate to help you prove your qualifications so that you can resume your studies or find a job more easily.
It presents information about your professional experience and language skills.
Who is it for?
Individuals with the following statuses :
refugees
asylum seekers
To apply for an evaluation:
Download the questionnaire (in Arabic, French, or English)
fill out and sign the questionnaire
Prepare a copy of your residence permit or any other document that proves your identity.
prepare any other documents proving your training and education (e.g., transcripts, diplomas, CV, etc.)
If you are selected, the jury will assess your knowledge and skills.
This assessment is based on the review of your responses to the questionnaire, any documents you may have submitted, and an oral interview.
In practice
The Council of Europe will cover travel and meal expenses for candidates who need to travel to attend interviews.
Some interviews may be conducted via Skype.
Each year, a few sessions are organized in countries that issue EPQRs.
Duration
If the decision is positive, the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

C. Would you like to have your professional experience recognized so you can return to school? Follow the VAPP procedure.
D. Would you like to validate a UGA degree based on your previous studies and qualifications? This is known as Validation of Higher Education (VES).
France has created this procedure to validate all or part of a degree you have obtained without attending classes. This allows you to obtain a French degree that higher education institutions and employers will trust.
If it does not result in validation, you will still have carried out a detailed review of your skills and knowledge, and you will receive personalized advice.
How?
It is possible to begin this procedure.at any time of the year.
You must contact an institution that can issue a degree as close as possible than the one you obtained.
A specialist jury will review your application, which will consist of a summary of your background, a written statement about your qualifications, and copies of any documents you can provide to support your application.
There are several stages in the evaluation of the file.
Where?
In the Grenoble metropolitan area, two institutions organize the VES: UGA and Grenoble INP-UGA.
At UGA, the application procedure is free of charge, while at Grenoble INP there is a fee.
Would you like to have your professional experience recognized in order to validate a degree? This is known as Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
